Important Projects

This project consists in repairing and implementing services at the quay on the right-hand shore of the Avilés estuary. The repair of the quay consists in the installation of 66.84 m long piling shields which, depending on the area, are either secured to an anchoring wall, to another piling shield, or are secured by means of pitched anchoring piles driven into the ground. Moreover, a superstructure is being put in place which consists of a concrete capping beam that runs along the length of the piling shield. A breakwater is being constructed to close off the piling shield at its southern end. The project also covers the paving of the newly renovated quay.
The works are completed by the implementation of the requisite services (water intakes, masts, switch board cubicles, hydrants and drainage).
